Broken Wharf Residential Redevelopment

The new building will replace a six floor office building dating from the 1970s and will have 40 spacious apartments in a mix of one, two and three bed units. An existing basement will be reused to create 12 car parking spaces and cycle storage.
The approach is to the design for this highly constrained site was to devise a plan-form that would take advantage of the river views for as many flats as possible and bring natural daylight deep into the site.
The resultant dentate façade has been shaped to achieve this with a faceted rhythm of transparent, translucent and white glass panels in 2:1 proportions. The effect is analogous to the white chalk cliffs of the English south coast and vegetation will climb the full height of the building at two points to disengage visually the ‘island’ front block from the ‘mainland’ back block.

East Croydon

It is a very iconic and prestigious development in Croydon Town Centre which has outline approval for a 20+ story residential or a 20+ hotel & residential tower both with 4 to 6 story podium and ground floor retail of 45’000 ftsq. The Outlined approval has not been sort in the traditional format; instead it has been initiated direct from the Local Authority which also has the backing of the Mayor of London. This proposal went out to public consultation back early 2011, which resulted in the UDP for the site being adopted later that year.
This site is all about location. It lies in the Centre of the town opposite a major transport hub i.e. trains, over ground tube, buses & trams. The site also sits within and a major shopping district yards away from to hundreds of shops and restaurants.
A public announcement has now been released revealing The “Westfield Group” have formally won a bid to buy out the previous Whitgift Centre which sits opposite our site. “Westfield’s” have submitted an application to transform the shopping centre into one of London’s largest shopping centres, whilst “Hammersons PLC” their JV partners on the project have received planning approval to convert part of Centrale shopping Centre next to our site into a 12 screen Cinema complex and eatery, making this one of south London’s largest and most prestigious shopping and leisure destinations.

South Bank Tower

One of the last remaining relics on the South Bank amid new developments such as the London Eye, the original 1970s South Bank Tower, previously known as King’s Reach Tower, has now been transformed into luxury residential accommodation, office and retail space.
Now 42 storeys, the tower offers amazing views across the London skyline and boasts 193 luxury apartments. There is more than 340,000 square metres of offices, 65,000 square metres of retail space, a 25 metre long swimming pool, a communal roof terrace, residents' lounge, gym, screening room and business lounge. The project overcame significant technical challenges and required close alignment between us and our supply chain.
The conversion of the development, from office to residential use, has required extensive cut and carve work and the building used what was at the time, the highest temporary external staircase and tallest tower crane in London.
